A cardboard recycling broker from Georgetown, Texas, keeping bales moving for more than 500 business locations across the country.
Single store or national chain, the standard is the same: show up when we said we would, and keep your cardboard moving.
Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. We build a route around your locations and keep it.
For qualifying volumes, we sell baled cardboard into the recycling market and may return part of its value as a rebate.
Active routes in 13 states and service in all 50, so a growing chain only has to call one number.
Three decades of cardboard recycling, and the team that keeps every route on schedule.
Greene Recycling is a commercial cardboard recycling company and recycling broker. We pick up baled cardboard from businesses and send it back into the supply chain. For qualifying volumes, our recycling brokerage program may return part of its value to the customer as a rebate. Bales can weigh as little as 180 lbs or as much as 1,200 lbs. No job is too big or too small.
Pickup is the core of the business, but most customers need more than a truck. We sell new and used balers and set up installation if needed, deliver 20- and 30-yard roll-offs with dump and return service, and rent and sell 40-yard compactors. One company handles the equipment and the haul, so there’s one call to make when something changes. See the full list on our services page.
Our customers are businesses that move a lot of boxes: retail and chain stores, grocery and convenience stores, warehouses and distribution centers, restaurants, and manufacturers. Some have one location. Others have hundreds. National brands including Walgreens and Crate & Barrel rely on our commercial cardboard recycling program to keep their back rooms clear.
A single store usually wants a dependable pickup day and a team that answers the phone. A chain wants the same thing at every site, with one point of contact instead of a different hauler in every market. We’re set up for both. Read more about the industries we serve.
Every account starts with a conversation. We ask where your locations are, how much cardboard each one produces, and what equipment you already have. From there we build a route and a schedule: weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, and we adjust the route for locations whose volume changes with the season.
Once service starts, our drivers collect your bales on the agreed day. We weigh the material and send it back into the recycling market. Clean, dry, tightly baled cardboard is worth more, so we’ll show your staff what a good bale looks like and how to keep trash and plastic out of it. If a location needs a new baler, a roll-off for a big reset, or a compactor for a busy dock, we add it to the same account. Commercial cardboard recycling should be one line on your list of things that just work.
Our headquarters is in Georgetown, Texas. Trucks run active routes in 13 states today, including Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, Missouri, Illinois, Tennessee, and Washington, and we service businesses in all 50 states. When a customer opens a location outside our current routes, we build service there. That’s how most of our routes started. See every state on our areas served page.
The company started in 1995 with routes in Texas and Oklahoma. Christy Greene took ownership in 2020 and has grown it from a regional provider into a national commercial cardboard recycling partner. The full story is on our history page, and you can meet the people who coordinate pickups and routes on our team page.
Corrugated cardboard is one of the most recycled packaging materials in the country, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. That only happens when someone collects it. Every bale we pick up stays out of a landfill and goes back into new boxes, and the business that produced it sends less to the trash.
