Roll-Offs for Cardboard and Debris

Greene Recycling offers commercial roll-off rental in two sizes, 20-yard and 30-yard, with dump and return service. Most of our roll-offs take both cardboard and debris. A container behind a commercial building is easy for anyone to reach, and there’s no practical way to stop others from tossing their own trash in it, so we plan for mixed loads from the start. When the container is full, we haul it, empty it, and bring it back.

When Commercial Roll-Off Rental Makes Sense

  • Your site doesn’t have a baler and loose cardboard is piling up on the dock.
  • Volume spikes during the holiday rush or a seasonal inventory surge.
  • A store opening, reset, or remodel is about to produce old fixtures, shelving, and a burst of boxes.
  • A warehouse move or inventory clean-out will create more material in a few days than a baler can handle.
  • A small renovation or repair project will generate wood, drywall, and general debris.

Choosing 20 or 30 Yards

A 20-yard roll-off suits steady cardboard overflow, store resets, and smaller clean-outs where space behind the building is limited. A 30-yard roll-off holds half again as much and works better for warehouse moves, remodels, and sites that fill a container every week. Not sure which fits? Tell us what you’re throwing out and how often, and we’ll recommend a size. Every commercial roll-off rental can move up or down a size as your volume changes.

What Can Go in a Roll-Off

Our debris roll-offs typically accept:

  • Cardboard and general trash
  • Wood, lumber, and broken pallets
  • Drywall, shingles, siding, and flooring
  • Cabinets, fixtures, and insulation
  • Brick, plus concrete if it’s approved in advance
  • Scrap metal and general construction debris

Hazardous materials and liquids can’t go in a roll-off, so ask us before loading anything you’re unsure about. If your site produces a lot of clean cardboard, keeping it separate still pays off. Clean, dry cardboard recycles more easily, and a high-volume site may be better served by a baler and cardboard bale pickup.

How Dump and Return Works

Every commercial roll-off rental starts the same way. We deliver a 20- or 30-yard roll-off container and place it where your team can reach it easily. Your staff loads it as material comes in. When the container is full, call us or stay on a set schedule. We pick it up, empty it, and return the same container to your site, so there’s no gap in service and no pile waiting for the next delivery.

Placing the Container

Before any commercial roll-off rental, we check the site. A roll-off container needs a level, accessible spot with room for the truck to drop it and pick it up. Most customers place it near the dock or the back door, where staff can load without crossing a parking lot. Leave clear overhead space and a straight approach for the truck. If you aren’t sure where it will fit, we’ll help you choose the spot before delivery.

Roll-Offs, Balers, and Compactors

Commercial roll-off rental is one piece of a complete program. Many customers use a baler for everyday cardboard and keep a roll-off for overflow and debris. Sites with very high, steady volume may move to a 40-yard compactor, which packs far more material into the same footprint. For pallets, shelving, furniture, and other one-time loads, bulk item pickup may be simpler than a container.

One Partner for Every Location

Greene Recycling serves more than 500 locations in all 50 states. Whether you need commercial roll-off rental at one warehouse or containers at sites across the country, you get one program and one point of contact. We’ve been in the cardboard business since 1995, and national brands like Walgreens and Crate & Barrel rely on our service. Corrugated cardboard is one of the most recycled packaging materials in the country, according to the EPA, and a roll-off keeps it in one place instead of scattered across the dock.
